A morning practice
Wake your mind.
Practice what matters.
You cannot choose everything the day brings. You can practice how you respond. Stoic Alarm connects the practical work of waking up with a daily reading and space to reflect.
01 / Wake
Give your alarm
your attention.
When your alarm rings, solve a calculation, type an intention, repeat a pattern, or complete a shake task. Choose your challenge and difficulty before bed.
Set your own limitsChoose snooze settings and maximum snoozes.
Check that you’re awakeEnable an awake check after your alarm.

Get your mind moving.
Solve a short calculation. A small, concrete task to bring your attention into the morning.

02 / Read
Ancient wisdom.
Daily practice.
Read Marcus Aurelius and Epictetus alongside commentary that connects their ideas to everyday life.
Consider what is in your control, question your first impressions, and choose how to act. Take one idea into the day and practice it.

Read slowly.
Take one idea with you.
Sourced readings. Original commentary. Room to think.
03 / Reflect
Notice your day.
Know yourself.
What deserves your attention today? What would you do differently tomorrow? Use your journal to think it through, or simply write what’s on your mind.
- Write when you want. Skip when you don’t.
- Entries save locally on your device.
- Return to past entries in your own time.

A little clarity
Before the
first alarm.
What is Stoic Alarm?
An iPhone alarm app with wake-up challenges, daily Stoic readings, and an optional journal. Build a morning practice around waking up, finding perspective, and reflecting.
Do I have to write to dismiss an alarm?
No. Journaling is optional and separate from wake-up challenges. You can choose math, typing, memory, or shake as your alarm challenge. An emergency dismissal remains available.
Do I need to know anything about Stoicism?
No background needed. The readings introduce ideas from Stoic philosophy with commentary you can consider in ordinary daily life.
Where does my journal go?
Journal entries are stored locally on your device. Cloud sync is not currently offered, so entries do not automatically follow you to another phone.
