About these terms

These terms describe use of the Stoic Alarm website and app. Stoic Alarm is owned and operated by Fernando Vargas, based in the United States. Our public contact is email. Questions can be sent to support@stoicalarm.si.

Use of the service

Use the service lawfully. Do not attempt to access another person’s account, interfere with service security, circumvent access controls, or misuse the support channel. If you create an account, keep its sign-in details secure and provide accurate information needed for account access.

Alarm behavior and safe use

Stoic Alarm provides alarm tools, wake-up challenges, readings, and optional journaling. It does not guarantee that you will wake up at a particular time. Test alarms on your device, maintain required permissions, and use a separate backup for time-critical events.

Use movement-based challenges only when safe. Stop a task if it causes discomfort or creates a risk to you or your surroundings. An emergency dismissal is available. Reading and journaling are not required to dismiss an alarm.

Readings and reflections are educational content, not medical, mental-health, or other professional advice.

Your writing and local data

You retain rights in your journal writing. The current app stores it locally and does not provide account-based journal sync. You are responsible for preserving copies of writing you wish to keep. Deleting or replacing local app data may remove your entries.

Sending a message to support permits us to use that message to respond and address the issue. It does not transfer ownership of your writing.

App and reading content

The app, website, artwork, original commentary, and other materials are protected where applicable by intellectual-property law. Source quotations and translations retain any applicable source credits and rights. Do not redistribute protected content without permission or another lawful basis.

For an app distributed through the App Store, the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a custom license is supplied through the App Store. These website terms do not replace Apple’s terms.

Subscriptions

If you choose a paid subscription, the offer shown in the app identifies the included access, price, billing period, renewal terms, and any trial conditions before you confirm a purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until canceled through Apple. See the subscription page for billing and cancellation details.

For Apple-billed purchases, cancellation and refund requests use Apple’s processes. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a subscription. See Subscription information.

Availability and your rights

Technical interruptions or device conditions may affect the service. Features and availability may change; any changes to paid access remain subject to the purchase terms and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.

See the Privacy Policy for information handling. The effective date appears at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated where required.
